The prices of grain and foodstuffs in Egypt during the Burji mameluke era

The study aims to identify the development of grain and foodstuffs prices during the Burji mameluke era ,and the causes of of their fluctuations ,and their effects on the segments of the egyptian society ,and the measures adopted by the state to limit the fluctuation of prices .
The study concluded that the grain and foodstuffs prices witnessed severe fluctuations during the Burji mameluke era due to the corruption of the mameluke authority .and the prevalence of bribery to secure government jobs ,and the large number of mukus taxes, which led to a negative impact on the total conditions of the state particularly the economic part ,and also led to severe effects on the population.

This is ageneral study of the defects (”ibn Al-kaLbi” as an example ). The idea of the study comes from acopy of Ibin ALKaLbi’s manuscript (204 A.H/ 819 A.D) wich was entitled (The Defects of Arabs). So the research deals with all those who wrote about the defects before and after ibin AL-kaLbi.
The research focused on the reasons which lead some of the writers to write about the defects of people and the position of IsLam from this , the research aLo cancent rates an some of contents of the book and to which extent ibn Al-kaLbi was responsible in it.

The research deals with the geography and history of Laos Kingdom which is part of Indo – china area , It represents the first roots of establishing that Kingdom and the divisions and the attacks it faced from its Chinese , Thailand , and Vietnamese Neighbors , ending With the French Who Controlled the country and remained until defeated in Dian Bain Fu battle , Thus it became the reason for the Kingdom independence , especially after holding Geneva conference in 1954 to end the fight in the region , the research depends on several foreign and Arabic resources , in addition to documentary films and scientific encyclopedias .

Iraq occupies an important strategic place for it is the gate to the Arabian Gulf and the Eastern Islamic countries. It has got the concern of the Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphs; therefore, they made Iraq the starting point to the east and to the old world countries. China is one of the main countries that the Abbasid Caliphs devoted their efforts to make diplomatic , economic and cultural ties for it was one of the developed countries at that time and had a great civilization. They wanted to make use of its experience in industrial , commercial field and also architecture . And the government of China had the same motives , therefore it encouraged its trade through travelling to Baghdad , which was the prosperous city of the Islamic World at that time. They were very conscious to make strong and good ties with the Abbasid reign. So they sent ambassadors and deputies to the Abbasid court. The cooperation between the two countries was clear on all levels. These strong relations continued for about four centuries. There was a mixed cultural and social process between the people of the two countries because of the marriage relations and settlement. All that enriched the Islamic Arabic culture by the intellectual and cultural data since the middle ages till nowadays.

Far from the extravagance attitude in criticize the historical hereditary, one can see the importance of caution and avoiding the epistemic naïve confidence in dealing and circulation of the historical utterance (news) which does not reasonably characterize {and here reasonably means that the utterance and the reality are identical}, and the reader and the modern historiographer must believe that the deceptive data does not be a true fact because it was written or repeated in references. This study is a (methodical) try to focus the light on many of the illusions and sophistries that some historiographers made, with an intention or not.

This titled research (Al – Bassasiry's Attitude towards Fatimid caliphate) tries to shed light on an important personality that almost toppled the- Abbassid caliphate Al – Bassasiry tried to extend the power of the young Fatimid caliphat on the ruins of caliphate the- Abbasid if he had been supported in that movement .

AS One of the requirements of academis method ‚ the research starts with an introduction followed by a definition of Al – Bassasiry to know his identity , origin , real name and hometown . Also the research shows the definition of the Fatimids , their mitation roots and leaders who established their earliest state in the region of Al Maghrib in the north of Africa .The research mention AL-Bassasirys service to the-Buehians ‚ the – Abbasids ‚ and the Fatimids . , The research shows according to the available historical writings‚ the reasons for the alteration of his intellectual and ideological’s dimensions or political expediency .The research follows his struggles against his enemies focused on his diplomatic and military behaviour in his maneuvers for getting more powerful groups to support him .

All of the searchers , historians and who worked in history aspect or in the sciences which has are lationship with history all of them , agreed a bout distributing the Islamic history into several ages on a basis of who was the caliph after the prophet Mohmmed . In the other hand these searchers and historians are un agreed about the belonging of caliphate of Imam Hassan Bin Ali for which age it would be belonging of that ages. That is underlying on my trying to find out the reasons of that un agreement and explain it with a logical explaintion that corsseponding with the basis of the Historical research method .

The share of Oman oil Development company became %60 .He also signed new oil agreements to gain the highest governmental participation. At the last years of the Five-year plan ,he opened the Experimental station of Steam lnjection in the oil establishments in Marmul area where steam was used to unplift the heavy oil and transforming it to light oil .

It was a serious impact of the First World War on the economic and social conditions in Egypt, which resultedbreak out the 1919 Egyptian Revolution against British Occupation. This situation forced Britain to change its policy towards Egypt, therefore, issueda declaration of 28 February 1922, which led to the drafting of Egypt's constitution of 1923. Therefore, Britain succeeded in its long-term policy in drawing the political and constitutional system in Egypt to serve its interests and its presence there and the reflection of its effects have remained on the Egyptian system even after the 1952 revolution.
